When I read the prompt today, my first thought was the song, Daddy’s Hands by Holly Dunn, the second, was also a song, Hands of a Working Man by Ty Herndon. This of course led me to think of my own father, and grandfather, and everything that they did. From working on the farm, to the service projects they did in Lions Club, to the hobby of woodworking, their hands were always busy.
Hands do a lot for us. They can give first impressions, show comfort, love, words, stability. confidence, among many other wonderful things. We can even turn it around, and our hands can show anger, disappointment, and frustration. Above all, our hands provide a living, support a family, encourage communication.
Our hands tell the story of who we are. What story are your hands weaving?
This is so beautifully written with the contrast regarding what the same hands can do.

Hands definitely do a lot for us. I actually don’t like the story that my hands are weaving but am working diligently to change this.
